We (Dan, Anne, Rob, Duy, and I) left NYC at around 8:30 AM. Even before we hit the Connecticut border, foliage was popping up along the highway already. From there on out, foliage lined all the highways we drove on–it was completely breathtaking from beginning to end. Our first stop was a quaint breakfast diner in Newtown, CT called King’s Restaurant where we had one of the yummiest breakfasts. We then headed to Yale University. The buidings of the school were very different from a typical college, castle-like and had a very old world feeling. Next was a very quick stop in Providence, RI where we took a few photos at the Nightingale-Brown House. Then we were off to Flax Pond Farms in Carver, MA for a cranberry bog tour where we learned more about how cranberries are grown and harvested. Dinner was a recommendation from the owner of Flax Pond Farms in Scituate, MA called PJ’s Country House & Restaurant. It was quiet fine dining where we feasted on some of the best clam chowder, pasta, and steak. We briefly visited Harvard University in Cambridge, MA and ended our night in Boston with a quick visit to the Cheers Bar.

The Connecticut wilderness.
Of course it was a mini shoot for Anne and Dan through out the whole weekend.
We’re elated that it’s so purdy!
So the leaves aren’t really falling from the trees…
Our feet in the Connecticut foliage.
Connecticut foliage. I may have this photo enlarged to hang in my bedroom.
