Another long-time child hood friend I got to shoot for: I’ve known Christy since I was probably 10 and David since I was 12 years old. Christy and I were in the same church scouts group and I met David separately while in junior high. I had no idea they had even gotten to know each other, let alone engaged until I connected with David on Facebook and saw who he was engaged to. I was completely shocked and surprised, but couldn’t be happier for the 2 of them. I was so honored that they had chosen us to photograph their wedding. It may have been a pretty wet and wild day, but many Vietnamese folks believe a rainy wedding day only brings good luck for the couple who wed on that day. We may not have been lucky with kicked off the premises of OCPAC but on the flip side were able to get in a few great shots in the rain.
Christy and David did superb with the decor they had chosen for their reception at the Villa. Purple and black were their main colors; invitations specified dark attire as well. White drapings were a great backdrop for the purple up-lights, black dance floor, and black& purple linen. It was also one of the funnest, rowdiest crowd we have ever worked with. Can you imagine approximately 350 guests with 300 of them being your party hardy friends alone? You can only imagine all the fun that went on that night to help celebrate their nuptials. It was an amazing day for an amazing couple.
